About Us

Kristin is a Southern Georgia belle, who graduated from UGA as a veterinarian May 2010. Carter grew up in NC, went on to seminary, became an ordained pastor, and has completed his doctorate of ministry. After retiring from full-time ministry, Carter is thoroughly enjoying being a financial advisor (and volunteering on the ministry side of things). After about a month of emailing, asking questions, and going through the steps of eharmony.com, we were full of excitement and became very eager to meet one another face to face. October 25, 2009, we met and enjoyed every minute together. We had no doubt God was going to strengthen our relationship with Him as well as with one another. Carter proposed August 9, 2010 on the boat in the middle of Lake Wylie at sunset. Kristin said "Yes" after some happy tears. We got married April 2, 2011 and what an amazing beautiful day that was! God has continued to bless us throughout our marriage. On May 18, 2017, our family grew when God gave us our son, Micah. We look forward to see what He has in store for us each and every day. We are super blessed to be serving the Lord wherever we are. God is constantly surprising us with new callings!

Claim It! June: Pastor's Porch

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” - Galatians 5:22-24
It's check in time... How are YOU doing claiming the fruit of the Spirit?
Are you saying “I am joy, I am love, I am peace...”? If you can’t say it, you probably won’t be doing it!
Have you noticed that most people say the opposite of what they mean? They say: “I can’t and I don’t.” And the truth is, as long as we talk like that, we NEVER will or can. If you haven’t started yet, start today by saying: “I can, I will, and I DO have.”
Start by speaking that “I can”. Today, quit using self defeating language of “I can’t” and start claiming that “I am the fruit of the Spirit.” Notice where you are already exhibiting fruit of the Spirit and focus on the positive? Congratulate yourself on where you are already living the fruit of the Spirit. You are already living it somewhere in your life! Yea! Congratulations!
Now you know you can be the fruit of the Spirit. Expand on that. As you focus on the positive, help that positive grow into other aspects and areas of your life. They will grow and expand. The more we focus on where Christ is already working and doing great things in our lives, the more it will expand into other areas of our lives.
I am joy. I am peace. I am love... In this, check what’s going on this month in YOU claiming the fruit of the Spirit.
I know something is going right for you this month. Take time to celebrate! Focus on the positive! Help the positive expand!
Remember: the fruit is a free gift of Christ. We just have to claim. The only way we don’t have the fruit is because we don’t accept them.

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13
