About Us

Kristin is a Southern Georgia belle, who graduated from UGA as a veterinarian May 2010. Carter grew up in NC, went on to seminary, became an ordained pastor, and has completed his doctorate of ministry. After retiring from full-time ministry, Carter is thoroughly enjoying being a financial advisor (and volunteering on the ministry side of things). After about a month of emailing, asking questions, and going through the steps of eharmony.com, we were full of excitement and became very eager to meet one another face to face. October 25, 2009, we met and enjoyed every minute together. We had no doubt God was going to strengthen our relationship with Him as well as with one another. Carter proposed August 9, 2010 on the boat in the middle of Lake Wylie at sunset. Kristin said "Yes" after some happy tears. We got married April 2, 2011 and what an amazing beautiful day that was! God has continued to bless us throughout our marriage. On May 18, 2017, our family grew when God gave us our son, Micah. We look forward to see what He has in store for us each and every day. We are super blessed to be serving the Lord wherever we are. God is constantly surprising us with new callings!

Easter Every Sunday: May Pastor's Porch

What if we celebrated Easter every Sunday? Guess what? We do!

Wouldn’t it be great if our church was as excited as Easter morning every Sunday?

We can be!!!

All it takes is for YOU to be that excited!

Wouldn’t it be cool if we had as many people worshipping with us as we did Easter Sunday?

We could.

All it takes if for YOU to come and bring people with you.

If you went through B90, you know the way God plans to grow His church. If you didn’t take B90, ask someone who did. How God plans to grow His Church…

But a little hint: it is going to take YOU! Everyone! Everyone excited about coming to Worship weekly, taking part in studies, and also bringing others. If we don’t bring them, they won’t come.

If you build it, they will come… Not true, it was a movie. Today, it takes bringing someone. It works. Every time you bring someone with you, they will come! Think about it…

If you bring them, they will come!

If you bring them and show up excited, it will be like Easter EVERY Sunday!

HE IS RISEN: April Pastor's Porch

Easter is a fun time of the year to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I’m always excited to celebrate Jesus at the resurrection. I think Easter is such a great time to not only celebrate Christ, but also to SHARE the excitement and resurrection with others. Easter is still a holiday where people are more likely than others to actually come to church. I know there are people out there who would only come Easter Sunday who don’t usually come to church. There are people who, if asked (maybe asked a couple of times and reminded), will say “yes” and maybe they need to be picked up or met somewhere. However, they are only interested in coming to church on Easter Sunday. Because of that, all members and friends of Glades need to take some time these next few weeks and reach out to those people that we know who don’t have a church home or don’t worship regularly.

What I LOVE about Easter is that we celebrate it EVERY SUNDAY.

That is why Christians worship Sunday instead of the Jewish Saturday worship: because we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ every week.

That is the celebration and joy that we celebrate weekly as we gather with the Body of Christ (remember that is what God considers Glades!).

Matthew 28:5b-7a “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell!”

As we think about worship each Sunday, let’s remember that every week, we celebrate Easter here at Glades and that we are told to GO QUICKLY and tell!
