About Us

Kristin is a Southern Georgia belle, who graduated from UGA as a veterinarian May 2010. Carter grew up in NC, went on to seminary, became an ordained pastor, and has completed his doctorate of ministry. Carter resided in SC for about 7 years (4 of these years with Kristin), and we now reside in FL. After about a month of emailing, asking questions, and going through the steps of eharmony.com, we were full of excitement and became very eager to meet one another face to face. October 25, 2009, we met and enjoyed every minute together. We had no doubt God was going to strengthen our relationship with Him as well as with one another. Carter proposed August 9, 2010 on the boat in the middle of Lake Wylie at sunset. Kristin said "Yes" after some happy tears. We got married April 2, 2011 and what an amazing beautiful day that was! God has continued to bless us throughout our marriage. We look forward to see what He has in store for us each and every day. We are super blessed to be down in Boca serving the Lord. God is constantly surprising us with new callings!

Full of Thanks

“...Give thanks to Him and praise His name.” (Psalm 100: 4b)

I have seen this question pop up as facebook posts, in devotionals, and in Christian bookstores a lot these days: “What if you woke up tomorrow and had only what you thanked Him for yesterday?” Does that question make you stop in your tracks like it does me?  Or do you still let the busyness of life continue on without focusing on God?  Over the last couple years, I have become more and more aware of God at work in my life, and I stop to thank Him for what He does for me, Carter, our family, and our friends. I can’t help but think of the book of Psalm when I think about thanking Our Father.  It’s full of verses about giving Him thanks.  Psalm 106:1 reads “Praise the Lord.  Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”  Or check out Psalm 107:8, “Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind…”

What blessings has God showered upon you today that you are thankful for?

  1. Amen Kristen!
Luckily, we would have you guys, but we would'nt have running water, air conditioning, a roof over our heads, clothes, dishes, a place to put those things etc... Your right, we take so much for granted. We should thank Him everyday for our blessings!
Thank you for this post and the inspiring thoughts.
    Love in Christ,
